75th Anniversary

75 Years

On 1st July 1933 the present Church building at the junction of Bryony Road and Green Meadow Road was opened.  We celebrated the 75th anniversary of that event during the weekend of 5th and 6th July 2008, and we were pleased that so many friends and neighbours were able to join us.

The occasion was marked on the Saturday by a Flower Festival with decorated windows, displays of photographs and memorabilia from church and associated organisations and an evening concert given by an orchestra, a combined choir and soloists (Programme and music).

On the Sunday there was a communion service led by the Revd. Jacky Embrey with Revd. John Geyer (a former minister) preaching. The service was followed by a lunch for invited guests, members, friends and families.
